Serious Facts On Cell Phone Headsets
Cell phone headsets are all the rage because you can use your phone and both of your hands to talk. They come in numerous different colors and sizes and look awfully advanced. If you do not mind looking like Johnny Spaceman, you might possibly talk on the telephone and use both your hands for working, knitting or whatever. But this is the beginning of cell telephone headset technology. Any new technology is going to have its advantages and disadvantages.
The advantages of cell phone headsets are convenience, speedier communication and being able to multitask. Mobile headphones are primarily based on the headsets that telefone operators or call center employees wear. Sometimes professional singers will wear combination wireless headset microphones in order to dance or play an instrument as they sing. Cell phone headsets come wireless or corded and often have added extras like stereo sound and adaptation for iPods or Walkmans.
First off, cell phone headsets can help make you oblivious to essential surrounding noise that helps you get around in life. It isn't a great idea to wear one while driving, for example. You also seem like a simpleton chatting to the air if your cellular telephone headset is very little.
Another major drawback is that we do not know that much about the results of long-term cell phone headset use on the human body. Come to think of it, we also don’t know the long-term affects of using cell phones on the human body. This is a major piece of microwave-producing machinery being placed next to your head.
A 2005 Swedish study showed there was evidence that long-term cell phone use can give you a brain tumor and puts you at greater risk for developing brain cancer. The same study also suggested that at least traditional cell phones are safer than cell phone headsets, because the latter put out much more electro-magnetic radiation.
Another disadvantage is that you are talking to people who aren't there in front of you. Though this is the data Age, modern humans are unhappily low in the art of personal communication. Believe it to be true or not, our species managed to survive just fine without cellular phones or cellular phone headsets.
In conclusion, both cellular phones and cell phone headsets should be used in moderation or just for emergencies. Being at the superstore and thinking about which type of cereal you have left at home does NOT comprise an emergency.
New phone can't find signal?
My mum's new Sony Ericsson W395 on Orange Pay as you go phone will only display 'Emergency Calls Only' when there is signal (my phone, also on Orange can find it) and I can't work out why. Her (new) sim card works fine in my phone, and my sim card works in the new phone, but the new sim card and new phone combo will not find any signal, unless you are in a very urban area.
I have done a master reset on the phone, and we've taken it into the Orange shop but all they can do is an upgrade which will be expensive.
This is annoying as she's had the phone since friday and it has never worked.
Thanks.
Hi Beth,
I'm sorry to hear that your mums new phone isn't working. This is a very strange situation as your mums SIM seems to work fine in your phone and vice versa. When you visited the Orange shop did they offer to check the phone for you?
I would suggest trying to speak to Orange about this again to see whether they offer any further help. A new SIM and a new phone should work and you shouldn't settle for anything otherwise. I have put a link to their contact deals below -
