Are Bluetooth and HandsFree be Illegal?
Around ten years ago only business men and women would of been expected to talk on a mobile whilst driving. It was basically seen as something quite great. But in this current day and age mobile phones have become a nuisance and are causing major deaths on the road.
This is the reason that it is now against the law to speak on a mobile phone whilst driving, you get distracted in two ways one is by typing in phone numbers or looking for a friend's number and the second is not paying attention to the road because you are involved in a deep discussion.
One major aspect that was not banned by the government was the use of hands free kits. But should authorities be rethinking this? The reason for saying this is purely because of the fact that there are still a huge amount of accidents on the road every day caused by not paying attention.
When people have chats on the phone your mind tends to not focus away from driving. Think of it this way if you were driving to write an article and talk on the phone at the same time it would end up being impossible to do. You would either not be able to complete the article or just end up ignoring the person on the other end of the line. So speaking on the mobile even on a Bluetooth is likely to sway your attention and should 100% be made illegal as well.
You should test yourself one day, leave your destination and begin talking on the phone; I bet that in no time you would have reached the destination and be baffled by the amount of time that has passed because you were in a conversation daze.

Engineering technology professor-student duo win Motorola Golden-i®dea competition (TexasAmEngineeringNewsStudents?format=xml)
Junior Akeem Whitehead (left) and Dr. Ben Zoghi from the Department of
Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution won the Golden-i®dea
competition Nov. 16 at the New York Institute of Technology.
The contest was sponsored by Motorola Solutions Inc. The Golden-i Developer
Competition and Partner Conference challenged participants to create
innovative, broad-reaching applications for the Golden-i headset computer, a
game-changing, hands-free mobile computing device coming to market late next
year.
Whitehead and Zoghi's winning entry, “Multi-Purpose Sensory Robotics
Application,” enables a Golden-i user to have complete remote control via
voice commands of a robot equipped with various outward facing sensors to
identify various environmental dangers.

“Keeping disaster response teams safe from hazardous elements and conditions
could have a significant impact on their ability to manage incident scenes
more effectively, while saving lives and protecting property,” said Nicole
Tricoukes, senior maverick, responsible for the Golden-i headset computer
program for Motorola Solutions.

The Texas A&M application wowed judges with its breadth of imagination and
full implementation of Golden-i capabilities. It was the judges’ unanimous
pick for top honors and earned the duo a $10,000 cash award.
